Synopsis

As dusk settled on a Halloween night, ten souls out for an evening's walk ventured into the warm embrace of the Deadfall Mall, a once-thriving marketplace now shadowed by decay and a forgotten time of prosperity. Unbeknownst to them, they were about to become potential victims of a cycle of horror they could never fathom. With them were two young intrepid ghost hunters, armed with weapons and protection found only in folklore, consumed by a burning desire to unravel a centuries-old mystery. They sought to break a cycle of death that had long plagued these hollowed grounds. Their quest? To confront the purveyor of past slaughters and end the cycle of violent death.

A lone security guard, unprepared and overmatched, stood as an unlikely ally against an unfolding terror. As the night deepened, the mall's eerie corridors became the stage for a sinister play, one that would claim most of their lives before dawn's first light.

When the police responded to a frantic 911 call the next morning, they were met with a scene of inexplicable horror – nine lifeless bodies, each telling a silent story of a night gone terribly wrong.

What malevolent force was unleashed in the Deadfall Mall that fateful evening? Were the victims mere pawns in a game far beyond their understanding, or did they, in some twisted way, deserve their grim fate? Uncover the harrowing truth in "The Deadfall Mall," where the line between the living and the dead blurs, and evil lurks in the most unexpected of places.

Deadfall Mall is a claustrophobic nightmare that transforms America's temple of consumerism into a house of horrors.

Drawing on the eerie atmosphere of abandoned retail spaces and the nostalgia for 1980s mall culture, Michael J. Nohe crafts a horror novel that's equal parts terrifying and satirical. The mall becomes a character itself—a hungry entity that feeds on the living and refuses to let them leave.

With memorable characters, creative kills, and a mystery that unfolds through both the present-day horror and flashbacks to the original tragedy, Deadfall Mall is a must-read for fans of survival horror and haunted location stories.
